Monmouth Telecom is an integrated communications provider (ICP) delivering a broad range of communications services to business and residential customers throughout New Jersey.   Originally started as Monmouth Internet in 1995, the name change reflects a broader scope that came with entry into the telecommunications arena in 2000.

The New Jersey marketplace is the focus of the company's resources and efforts.   Monmouth Telecom has combined highly accessible customer service with innovative technical solutions and a fiscally conservative management.  As a result, Monmouth Telecom has been privileged with over 14 years of continuous growth.  By avoiding accumulation of debt, Monmouth Telecom is in a robust position for continued expansion and financial stability.

We offer you service you can count on.   Monmouth Telecom is one of the first of the 200 New Jersey Internet Service providers to be licensed as a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC).   Monmouth Telecom is also recognized by the BPU as a Regulated Utility.   Customers can reach a live Network Operator 24 hours a day, 7 days a week 365 days a year.  As a facilities-based Local Exchange Carrier, Monmouth Telecom has the advantage of a centralized NJ-based support team and facilities. We currently provide service to over 11,000 New Jersey customers, in industries ranging from government to healthcare.

Executive Leadership

Dr. Kenneth Leland

President and Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Kenneth Leland serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Monmouth Telecom, where he is responsible for the leadership and direction of this rapidly growing company. Before co-founding Monmouth Telecom in 1995, he was the Executive Director of Wireless Systems Research at Bellcore. Prior to that, he served in various management positions at AT&T Bell Labs (now AT&T). He brings over thirty years of telecommunications experience and knowledge to the company.

Mr. Leland holds a PhD and a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from Duke University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University.

Sonia Leland

Chief Financial Officer

Sonia Leland is Chief Financial Officer of Monmouth Telecom, and is responsible for managing the company’s financial strategy. In this role she oversees a variety of activities, including financial planning, accounting and taxes. Her strong leadership has enabled the company to avoid any debt accumulation during her tenure.

Before co-founding Monmouth Telecom in 1995, she worked at AT&T Bell Labs (now AT&T) for 10 years, where she worked in various telecom departments such as Marketing & Product Management, Frames Relay Provisioning, and the Physical Design of Business Phones.

Mrs. Leland holds a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelors of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Saratov Polytech Institute.

Mark Stevens

Senior Vice President, Operations

Mark Stevens is Senior Vice President of Operations at Monmouth Telecom, and oversees all network and facility operations, including equipment installation, network orientation, plant operations and customer/vendor management relations. He has been with Monmouth Telecom since 1996, during which time he has helped keep the firm at the cutting edge of telecommunications technology.

Under his leadership, Monmouth has grown to have over 14 additional equipment centers throughout the New Jersey area. Additionally, he has expanded Operations to include 4 divisions and developed core customer service strategies. Mr.Stevens is at the forefront of customer service and today's technologies, helping to ensure customer service satisfaction and that Monmouth Telecom maintains its status as a leader in Telecommunications services.

Keith Fallon

Senior Vice President, Sales and Business Development

Keith Fallon serves as Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development and oversees the recruitment of new business. He has been with Monmouth Telecom since 2001, during which time he has been integral in the company’s development, helping to increase revenue by over 400% and growing the firm to well over 11,000 customers across the New Jersey area.

Prior to joining Monmouth Telecom in 2001, he was the Vice President of Sales for Cooperative Communications, where he was for eight years. During his time there, Mr. Fallon helped lead Cooperative from a small start-up to a prominent CLEC (Cooperative Local Exchange Carrier) with over $41 million in annual revenue.

Mr. Fallon holds a Master of Science in Management from Upsala College and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Montclair State, from where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
