Customer Service Associate

Monmouth Telecom is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the full-time position of Customer Service Associate. Monmouth Telecom, headquartered in Red Bank, New Jersey, is a dynamic and fast-growing CLEC. We offer a complete package of voice and data solutions for small, medium and large business customers throughout New Jersey.

Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills are mandatory and are the company's main priority. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and understand what customer urgency is.

Experience requirement

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a service-oriented environment
  • Telephone company experience is highly desirable

Voice and Data Customer Support duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills – Ability to be articulate and diplomatic
  • Maintain customer relationship by responding to and clarifying inquiries – Set priorities
  • Document inquiry/response actions in customers’ accounts
  • Analyze customer needs – Process information quickly
  • Resolve product or service problems
    • Gather and research information – Review previous inquiries and responses
    • Select and explain the best solution to solve the problem
    • Assemble and forward information
    • Verify customer’s understanding of information
  • Expedite corrections or adjustments
  • Follow up to ensure resolution
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Salary $30-35K with paid vacation, paid sick time, paid personal days, 401(k) Plan, and a generous Health Benefits Package.

Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
