Dr. Kenneth Leland
President and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Kenneth Leland serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Monmouth Telecom, where he is responsible for the leadership and direction of this rapidly growing company. Before co-founding Monmouth Telecom in 1995, he was the Executive Director of Wireless Systems Research at Bellcore. Prior to that, he served in various management positions at AT&T Bell Labs (now AT&T). He brings over thirty years of telecommunications experience and knowledge to the company. Mr. Leland holds a PhD and a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from Duke University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University.
Sonia Leland
Chief Financial Officer
Sonia Leland is Chief Financial Officer of Monmouth Telecom, and is responsible for managing the company’s financial strategy. In this role she oversees a variety of activities, including financial planning, accounting and taxes. Her strong leadership has enabled the company to avoid any debt accumulation during her tenure. Before co-founding Monmouth Telecom in 1995, she worked at AT&T Bell Labs (now AT&T) for 10 years, where she worked in various telecom departments such as Marketing & Product Management, Frames Relay Provisioning, and the Physical Design of Business Phones. Mrs. Leland holds a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelors of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Saratov Polytech Institute.
Mark Stevens
Senior Vice President, Operations
Mark Stevens is Senior Vice President of Operations at Monmouth Telecom, and oversees all network and facility operations, including equipment installation, network orientation, plant operations and customer/vendor management relations. He has been with Monmouth Telecom since 1996, during which time he has helped keep the firm at the cutting edge of telecommunications technology. Under his leadership, Monmouth has grown to have over 14 additional equipment centers throughout the New Jersey area. Additionally, he has expanded Operations to include 4 divisions and developed core customer service strategies. Mr. Stevens is at the forefront of customer service and today's technologies; helping to ensure customer service satisfaction and that Monmouth Telecom maintains its status as a leader in Telecommunications Services.
Founded as an Internet Service Provider in NJ in 1995, Monmouth Telecom has grown to offer a complete set of innovative and economical Business VoIP Phone Services and Business Internet Services. We were NJ's first Internet Service Provider turned Telephone Company in 2000 and in 2006 we began providing businesses with increased functionality using VoIP.
